My Story
Originally hailing from a small town in Arkansas, I eventually found my way to the vibrant city of College Station, Texas, where I attended Texas A&M University (Class of 2019, Whoop!). My journey wasn’t without its challenges—while juggling a full academic load and serving tables, I immersed myself in the world of event planning, working with a variety of event companies to organize everything from marathons to triathlons, not only in Texas but all the way up to Alaska.
Throughout my studies, I had the honor of earning two prestigious Certificates in Tourism and Professional Event Management, which laid a solid foundation for my passion in events. In my final two years at A&M, I was fortunate to be a part of the highly regarded Texas A&M Event Planning Committee, where I worked alongside talented colleagues to execute an exciting array of high-profile events for both the University and the local community. These experiences not only deepened my love for event planning but also honed my ability to create memorable, seamless experiences for every guest.
Driven by our love for nature and the outdoors.
After graduating, my husband, our two dogs, and I left Texas to explore what Colorado had to offer. I began working as an Event Coordinator for an all-inclusive event company, managing weddings and corporate events across the state, where I handled everything from planning and catering to décor and florals.
Inspired by these experiences and the breathtaking beauty of Colorado, I founded Candlelight Events. This journey deepened my passion for creating unforgettable weddings and events, and I realized how fulfilling it was to help couples bring their dream celebrations to life. Now, I combine my expertise, creativity, and love for the state to help couples plan their perfect wedding in one of the most stunning places on earth.
